My NC Story | Community

“When I came to North Central, one of the first concerns I expressed to my parents was ‘what if I don’t find friends?’ My group of friends back home are people I have known since elementary school. I figured I would only find my own mini-community by turning off my Netflix and joining clubs on campus.
My involvement with The Chronicle —our student media publication—Catholic Cardinals and College Republicans really helped me form new friendships with people who have the same interests. Coming to North Central, I was more reserved, but through my time here, the people I have met helped me break from my shell.
North Central is such a close-knit community that it wasn’t hard to find my people. My advice to new students is to look for ways to get involved on campus and pursue new interests—you never know who you might meet!”
