Community Values

In winter 2025, the College introduced its new strategic plan: NCForward. The NCForward Strategic Plan prioritizes five key areas: Institutional Identity; Student Experience and Engagement; Financial and Operational Sustainability; Faculty and Staff Experience; and Community Values.

The Community Values pillar is intended to articulate and ensure adherence to North Central's core values that underpin how we, as a College community, engage with one another with a commitment to the guiding principles rooted in the College's mission.

In the months ahead, and as the College continues to work toward operationalizing the NCForward Strategic Plan, we plan to develop a set of mission-based core values that distill the following operating principles:

  • We are an open, diverse, and vibrant community.
  • We act with integrity and hold one another accountable.
  • We pursue excellence together.
  • We are endlessly curious and collaborative.
  • We are engaged citizens.
  • We take care of one another.
  • We make time for reflection and celebration.
