To receive text messages from NC, a user must affirmatively opt in by checking the designated consent box on the NC application for admission, on an admission inquiry form, or via another college form which includes the SMS opt-in question. By opting in, the user agrees to receive recurring automated text messages from North Central College. Consent to receive text messages is not required as a condition of applying to or enrolling at the College.
Information collected through SMS communications, including a user's mobile phone number and message interactions, may be stored and used for internal College purposes, including communication and service improvement. North Central College may share mobile phone numbers with third-party service providers solely to facilitate message delivery on the College's behalf. This information will not be shared with third parties for non-College business purposes.
