Dr. Selsky is the Program Director for Athletic Training, Associate Professor of of Athletic Training, and Department Chair of Kinesiology at North Central College. As a certified athletic trainer and a certified strength and conditioning specialist, she has 12 years of clinical practice as an athletic trainer in collegiate athletics. Prior to her current role at the College, she has served as the head athletic trainer, exercise science program coordinator, and clinical education coordinator for athletic training. Selsky has research interests in athletic training education, anterior cruciate ligament injury prevention programs for collegiate athletes, and the prevention of shoulder injuries in throwing athletes. She has presented on state, district and national symposia on topics such as: Professional Issues in Athletic Training, ACL injury prevention training, Functional Movement Screening in Rehabilitation, Trauma Informed Practices for Athletic Trainers, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome in Athletes, and Evidence Based Practice for Strength and Conditioning Professionals. She holds a Doctor of Health Sciences Degree from A.T. Still University, completing a specialty in the fundamentals of education. She is active at the state and national level within athletic training professional organizations.
