Heidi Matthews

Heidi Matthews is the Dean of the School of Education and Health Sciences and a Professor of Kinesiology.   Having been inducted into the Illinois Athletic Trainers Association Hall of Fame in 2008, Matthews led the North Central College Athletic Training Program for over two decades.  She has also served as Chair of the Department of Health and Physical Education.  She has taught several courses within the Athletic Training Major, including the Clinical Experience sequence, Therapeutic Modalities, Athletic Training Administration, and Medical Aspects of Sportsmedicine.  She has been on the faculty of the First Year Experience course.  Matthews has served on the National Athletic Trainers' Association Continuing Education Committee, the Board of Certification's Exam Administration Committee, and the Illinois Athletic Trainers Association Education Committee.
