Her passion lies with helping older adults maintain independence and dignity throughout the process of aging, particularly individuals with dementia. Meredith is also a Klose Trained Certified Lymphedema Therapist, with experience treating adults managing lymphedema and other oncological-related conditions.
As a professor, Meredith strives to foster an inclusive, collaborative learning environment with an emphasis on practical experiences, community engagement, and a strong theoretical foundation in Occupation. Her main goal as an educator is to aid in the development of competent, confident, and eager Occupational Therapists who will continue to make the world a better place. Meredith is a strong believer in servant leadership- meeting the needs of her students is paramount to their success as future clinicians.
In her spare time, Meredith enjoys an occupationally-balanced life, including spending time with her husband, family, and friends, as well as her dog, Gertie. She likes to bake bread and sweet treats, as well as throw pottery on the wheel. Her main goal in life: "Moderation!"
