Cam completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Washington University In St. Louis, then went on to complete a Neurologic Residency training program at Emory University. He completed his Board Certification in Neurologic Physical Therapy through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and has a sub speciality in vestibular rehabilitation through Emory/Duke Universities.

Since graduating from PT school Cam has practiced in general outpatient neurology, speciality clinics (ALS, vestibular, movement disorders), pediatric neuro/oncology, and inpatient rehabilitation while teaching in multiple programs. Currently, Cam holds clinical hours/treats patients at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab (in downtown Chicago) on their stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, pediatric, and general medicine inpatient rehabilitation floors. This neurologic background has helped Cam lead/course coordinate the Neuromuscular Practice Management Course Sequence here at NCC DPT. Cam's research interests include chronic vestibular dysfunction, the importance of pre-injury activity levels, and capacity versus performance in chronic neurologic patients.

Cam is originally from St. Louis, Missouri but respects Chicago sports teams. When he is not working Cam is an avid explorer/hiker, fitness enthusiast, proud father of a rescue greyhound, asking questions about how things work, and loves meeting new people. Cam has dual citizenship in the United States/Iran and is passionate about improving access to healthcare internationally.

"This is a unique opportunity here at North Central College to reexamine how we teach physical therapists, focusing on the learner rather than the institution. I am excited to teach, mentor, and support not only excellent entry level clinicians, but compassionate people"
