Dr. Mullen is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a founding partner of True North Clinical Associates. He attended Loyola University Chicago (B.S., Cum Laude, 1991) and earned his Master’s (1997) and Doctorate (1999) in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Mullen returned to Loyola University in 2007, completing a post-doctoral certificate in Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy. He specializes in treating children, adolescents, and their families.
Dr. Mullen is a Half-Time Associate Professor in the Psychology Department at North Central College, in Naperville, Illinois. He teaches Child Development, Adolescent Psychology, Clinical Psychology, and Psychopathology courses. While completing his graduate studies, Dr. Mullen was a Counselor on the Children's Unit at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. He completed his pre-doctoral internship at Linden Oaks Hospital at Edward in Naperville, IL. Afterward, he went on to fulfill his post-doctoral requirements for licensure with The DuPage County Health Department's Child & Adolescent Mental Health program.
Dr. Mullen is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), The Society of Clinical Child & Adolescent Psychology, Mensa International, and is a Certified ADHD Professional.
