Dr. Lauren Stone Kelly, OTD, OTR/L has worked as an occupational therapist since 2013 with populations throughout the lifespan in various settings. Lauren earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from DePaul University, her Master of Science of Occupational Therapy degree from Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine and her Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree from Boston University Sargent College of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences.

While she has worked with people across the lifespan, Lauren's primary clinical expertise is with pediatric populations. She has worked passionately with children with neurologic, neuro-developmental, and neuro-oncology diagnoses in community and group settings, inpatient, day rehabilitation and outpatient therapy settings. Lauren has a special interest in advancing clinical knowledge and practice in the field of OT to benefit these populations. She has presented at several state and national conferences and continues to contribute to the profession through scholarship focused on pedagogical research, telehealth intervention, pediatric handwriting, pediatric oncology and neuro-oncology rehabilitation, pain management, and community accessibility.

As a teacher, Lauren has a passion for clinical education to prepare students to be involved, creative, innovative and compassionate clinicians who are competent and confident to utilize their skills in traditional and non-traditional settings providing occupational therapy services.

Dr. Stone Kelly currently serves as a faculty advisor to the North Central College Beta Sigma chapter of Pi Theta Epsilon, a service oriented honor society for occupational therapy students. She also collaborates with various community partners and families to offer mutually beneficial therapeutic services supporting OT student professional development and hands on learning.

Dr. Stone Kelly is also the Doctoral Capstone Coordinator for the developing entry-level OTD program at the college. She serves as director and liaison for all students, sites and faculty related to the capstone project and experience required as part of the degree program.
