Profile Picture

Supna C. Jain, J.D., enjoys examining interpersonal relationships in organizational and intercultural contexts. Through her work with victims of domestic violence and her frequent trips to India, Supna is particularly fascinated by the social and legal issues surrounding women.  Her 5 years of experience with a Chicago litigation support firm, and her work on high profile cases, such as Verizon v. Vonage and U.S. v. Gerorge Ryan,  heightened her interest in the synthesis, argumentation, and visual presentation of complex concepts. Supna's recent work examines the influence of language on sexual assault conviction rates, and the identity management crisis South Asian women experience when married.  In addition to her commitment to education in the classroom, Supna serves as a member of the Board of Education for Indian Prairie School District 204. Supna also has a deep passion for dance and is the Founder and Artistic Director of a nonprofit organization, which provides an artistic outlet for professionals in the Chicago area to express themselves on social/political/cultural issues, and which has donated over $25,000 to local and international organizations.
