Kelly Frystak

Dr. Kelly Frystak, OTD, OTR/L, ITOT has her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Master of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Indiana. She has her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy degree from Marymount University. Kelly has practiced as an occupational therapist since 2002 in sub-acute, skilled nursing, outpatient day rehabilitation and outpatient vision therapy. Her expertise has developed over the years through the development of multiple visual rehabilitation programs and collaboration and consultation with numerous eye-care professionals. Kelly is an ImPACT Trained Occupational Therapist with specialization in treating post-concussion syndrome and has special interests in physical dysfunction, visual retraining, and neurologic rehabilitation.  Providing community-engaged learning opportunities for her occupational therapy students is a passion and has resulted in community partnerships with homeless and stroke-survivor populations. She serves as the co-advisor of Pi Theta Epsilon, Beta Sigma Chapter Occupational Therapy Honor Society, Faculty Advisor for the First-Gen OT students, and as the School of Education and Health Sciences General Education Committee Representative. As a professor in North Central College's Occupational Therapy Programs, Kelly continues to nurture the passion in each student and help them gain a more holistic perspective to intervention and leadership in the field of occupational therapy. 

Her motto is "You never know where the field of occupational therapy will take you...always take time to enjoy the journey!"
