The award-winning, student-run radio station WONC-FM 89.1 celebrates its 50th anniversary on May 11, 2018.

When looking for their dream jobs, many North Central College students and alumni started with their childhood memories of Disney vacations.

On April 9, 2015, Russ Tanzillo ’15 and Josh Barlog ’16 were hosting their weekly radio show at WONC-FM 89.1 when they received an intense call from a fellow WONC staff member.

Gerald Gems, North Central College professor of health and physical education, was a featured sports historian in an interview on NPR’s “All Things Considered” program broadcasted May 5 on WBEZ-FM 91.5.
