North Central College students earned national and state honors for their work with WONC-FM 89.1, the College’s student-run radio station, and The North Central Chronicle, the College’s student-run newspaper.

Like most first-year students, Luis Tello arrived at North Central College with dreams of personal achievement. But his goals are focused on helping others achieve their dreams. And he’s getting closer every day.

On April 9, 2015, Russ Tanzillo ’15 and Josh Barlog ’16 were hosting their weekly radio show at WONC-FM 89.1 when they received an intense call from a fellow WONC staff member.

North Central College’s journalism students have kicked up their skill level a few hundred notches with new print designs for the Chronicle and a user-friendly website called NCClinked.com.

More than 500 North Central College students, employees, alumni, friends and family members were among the 5,100 community volunteers who gathered on campus Feb. 20-21 for a common goal: to pack nutrient-rich meals as part of the Feed My Starving Children Feed the Need!

A prominent and passionate voice for those afflicted by social injustice and discrimination is Patrisse Cullors, cofounder of Black Lives Matter.
