Sheryl Finkle taught English, psychology, and special education in secondary schools for ten years before becoming a teacher educator. Over the past twenty-five years, she has taught undergraduate general methods courses, English methods courses, composition courses, and graduate seminars in problem-based learning and literacy teaching while supervising undergraduate student teachers across several disciplines and graduate teaching assistants in English. She has conducted numerous workshops and in-service programs on problem-based learning and has regularly presented papers on reading, writing, critical thinking, and problem-solving. She currently teaches Teaching Today and the senior residency seminars that accompany student teaching. She particularly enjoys collaborating with Professor Jack Shindler in facilitating a D-Term verandah experience entitled Face to Face: Connecting Cultures. . . Crossing Borders.
