Michael J. Hudson is North Central College’s vice president for facilities, planning and operations. He has served the Naperville institution for more than 28 years in various leadership roles. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Eastern Illinois University.
During his time at North Central, Mike has spearheaded numerous construction projects on the College’s 68.5-acre campus, including the $30 million acoustically spectacular Wentz Concert Hall and Fine Arts Center, the $25.8 million innovative Residence Hall/Recreation Center, a $22 million suite-style precast residence hall, the $60 million Dr. Myron Wentz Science Center, and the recently completed Dr. Myron Wentz Center for Health Science and Engineering, which opened in 2021. On a daily basis his responsibilities include facility and risk management, as well as supervision of the College’s mail/print services, and environmental sustainability efforts.
His creative, collaborative, problem-solving approach has been instrumental in guiding building projects that are completed on time and on budget.
