Michael de Brauw is Associate Professor of Classics in the Department of Modern and Classical Languages, Coordinator of the Program in Latin and Classical Civilizations, and a member of the program in the Gender and Women’s Studies.  He teaches Latin and Greek, as well as courses on ancient Greek and Roman history and culture, including Classical Mythology.  His research interests focus on Greek and Roman rhetoric and oratory, particularly the Attic Orators and Cicero, and the cultural history of law in Democratic Athens and Republican Rome.
