Greetings from the Office of Multicultural Affairs!
The Office of Multicultural Affairs is committed to continuing to be a source of support for our underrepresented students and a focal point for promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion at North Central College. We would like to share some news and upcoming events from our office with the campus community.

Multicultural Student Center
The Multicultural Student Center is a spot for students to study, hang out, or lounge in between class periods. Due to new social distancing policies there is a limit of ten people in the Center at a time. Also, we advise that all students wear masks at all times. More information here.
The office and the Multicultural Student Center is located in the Harold and Eva White Activities Center (WAC), second floor.
Office of Multicultural Affairs Newsletter
Our office would like to share a new initiative for the new school year -- a weekly Office of Multicultural Affairs Newsletter! If you would like to receive the newsletter, please fill out the Google Form: https://forms.gle/aSuaLuN6P8XEP8M67
If you would like us to add any information about any upcoming events that you or your department are offering related to diversity and inclusion, you may also submit that information to the Google Form OR by emailing mca@noctrl.edu. Please provide a brief description and attach any related images/flyers and/or links. We ask that any requests to add content to the newsletter be submitted at least by Tuesday of the preceding week.

Latinx Heritage Month
The Office of Multicultural Affairs, in collaboration with the Latinx Student Association (LSA), Fusión Española (FUSE), La Malinche (LAM), and the North Central College Spanish Department, invites you to celebrate Latinx Heritage Month! Latinx Heritage Month is a time to honor the history, culture, and contributions of all Hispanic and Latinx Americans.
Latinx Heritage Month will take place September 15 – October 15, 2020. Check out our series of events below! All Month Long: NC UNIDOS – Photo Display
The Office of Multicultural Affairs would like to recognize our Latinx students, staff, and faculty for their contributions to the North Central College community through our NC Unidos photo display. We ask that our Latinx students, staff, and faculty submit their photo, which will be featured on our Instagram page @ncc_oma, as well as in the White Activities Center Lobby.
Latinx stories and backgrounds are rich with history, culture, and tradition and we want to showcase that during Latinx Heritage Month! To be a part of the photo display, please upload a headshot photo of yourself and complete this Google Form. Please submit by Friday, September 25, 2020.
All Month Long: Latinx Cultures & Traditions Collage
The Latinx Cultures & Traditions Collage is a virtual space for North Central Latinx community members to express the meaning of their culture and traditions through words, quotes, song, art, photography, and more by submitting them to our Google Form. Content will be shared together as a collage on our Instagram page @ncc_oma and displayed in the Multicultural Student Center. Please submit content by Friday, September 25, 2020.
