The need for authentic leaders and engaged citizens is more apparent now than ever. The Civic Engagement and Leadership Pathway will provide you with the opportunity to discover your strengths, develop your leadership style and apply your knowledge in ways that positively impact not only the campus community but the global community as well.

Student Opportunities & Organizations

From the moment you first set foot on campus through your senior year, you have the opportunity to investigate the complex challenges affecting local, national and global communities.

  • Leadership Challenge Cardinal Camp: Meet fellow North Central students and explore the north woods of Wisconsin. This retreat offers students the chance to get away before settling in on campus. Transform your leadership potential and test your teamwork skills while enjoying adventures in the outdoors.
  • NCC LEAD: Start your journey at North Central with our first-year leadership development program, NCC LEAD. Students participate in an off-campus retreat, strengths-based assessment, leadership workshops and mentoring led by campus student leaders.
  • Blue Key Honor Society: Blue Key recognizes junior and senior leaders from across campus who display academic excellence and practice leadership through service. Blue Key members exemplify the motto, "Serving, I live."

Funding Opportunities

LEV Fellows Scholarship: Invest in your leadership development and see the returns. If you are interested in maximizing your leadership skills, you can receive up to $4,500 in scholarship funds. If accepted into the program, declare and complete an LEV concentration and/or LEV academic minor and also participate in several cocurricular leadership experiences, including leadership workshops and yearly service projects.
