Learning Outcomes

We are a diverse community of learners. In order to achieve the College’s mission of “curious, engaged, ethical, and purposeful citizens and leaders in a local, national and global context,” the division of Student Affairs has adopted the following learning domains and outcomes to guide our work.

Stay Connected Personal Development The personal development domain recognizes the significance of developing one’s self. Students who engage in Student Affairs & Athletics programs, activities, and services will develop and integrate skills that enhance their identity exploration, healthy sense of self, and ability to care for and advocate for themselves.
Do Good Prosocial Behavior The prosocial behavior learning domain acknowledges as a society, we benefit from having individuals who understand and value the importance of helping others, encouraging others, and supporting others regardless of reward or notoriety. Students who participate in Student Affairs & Athletics programs, activities, and services will develop and apply behaviors that demonstrate care for one another, sharing, and inclusion.
Do No Harm Social Intelligence The social intelligence learning domain affirms the importance of understanding and managing interpersonal relationships. Students who participate in Student Affairs & Athletics programs, activities, and services will develop and apply communication, teamwork, collaboration, and facilitation skills.
