The North Central College Chamber Orchestra is NCC's primary orchestra ensemble and welcomes students from all majors, alumni, and community members. The instrumentation includes strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion, and the rehearsals are once a week and there are 1-2 performances per semester. The orchestra performs repertoire from a variety of genres and time periods. Examples of recent repertoire are Schubert Symphony No. 6, Beethoven Symphony No. 1, and Carnival of the Animals.
