Prospective applicants can take upper-level and graduate courses at Illinois Tech while enrolled at North Central, providing expanded elective opportunities for North Central students.
Accelerated Path to Engineering Master’s Degree at Illinois Tech
As part of Illinois Tech’s Accelerated Master’s Admission (AMA) program, North Central undergraduate students who complete undergraduate and/or graduate coursework at Illinois Tech may satisfy some requirements of master’s degree programs at Armour College of Engineering. This provides a path for students to receive a bachelor’s from North Central and a master’s from Illinois Tech in as few as five years.

Prospective applicants at North Central will have the opportunity to consult with Illinois Tech’s Office of Graduate Admission for advice on preparing applications and meeting requirements for various Illinois Tech graduate degrees.
Admission Requirements
To be eligible for the accelerated master’s admission program at Illinois Tech, North Central students must:
Apply to participate in Illinois Tech’s Accelerated Master’s Admissions (AMA) program by the August 1 fall semester deadline or the December 1 spring semester deadline
Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale at the time of application and must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in each semester until graduation from North Central or through their final term at North Central
Earn a GPA of 2.8 or higher for all courses taken at Illinois Tech as part of this program
Scholarship
Illinois Tech will waive the application fee for North Central students and provide a one-time scholarship offer of $17,500 to admitted applicants.
