Veteran & Military Families Month

Nov 05, 2024

November is Veteran & Military Families Month in the U.S. and Veteran Appreciation Month at North Central College.  We recognize and thank our student, faculty and staff veterans not only for their service, but also for the many assets they bring to our campus and classrooms—including global perspective, self-discipline, maturity, work ethic, critical thinking, goal-focused approach, teamwork, leadership skills and experience.

At NC this semester, we have 27 student veterans (average age 35), 10 faculty and staff veterans, and 13 civilian students using dependent benefits under the transferability option of the Post-9/11 GI Bill.

North Central College's Veteran Success Team comprises 18 staff members dedicated to serving as points of contact for their office/program, ensuring prompt and thorough responses to veteran inquiries.

NC's Student Veterans Alliance is an official chapter of the Student Veterans of America.
