Stephen Maynard Caliendo analyzed Supreme Court’s decision to strike down affirmative action in college admissions

On the eve of the last day of June, the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) struck down affirmative action in college admissions, declaring race cannot be a factor and forcing institutions of higher education to look for new ways to achieve diverse student bodies. The Court's conservative majority overturned admissions plans at Harvard and the University of North Carolina, the nation's oldest private and public colleges, respectively.

Stephen Maynard Caliendo, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, interviewed on FOX 32 Chicago, where he broke down the Court's decision on affirmative action and discussed what other rulings could come.
