Study and Hangout Spaces
Oesterle Library & Learning Commons Study Areas: Enjoy quiet zones, group study rooms, and collaborative workspaces.
Multicultural Student Center: Inclusive, collaborative space with a television, open workspace, and a multicultural book shelf located in Harold and Eva White Activities Center (WAC), room 206.
Jefferson Lounge (located in Seager Hall): Activity space with pool table and a television.
Jefferson Commons (located outside of Wentz Science Center): Outdoor activity space, lawn spaces for events and hanging out, and outdoor fire-pit which can be reserved through the College’s event calendar system Coursedog.
Outdoor Spaces: Take advantage of campus courtyards and green areas with seating and Wi-Fi access. Physical Fitness & Shower Locations
Residence Hall Recreational Center: Utilize the fitness center which has cardio equipment, free weights, and strength training machines. There is an indoor track on the 3rd floor with additional cardio equipment.
Merner Field House: Utilize the weight room at Merner Field House, which is equipped with squat racks and a variety of other lifting equipment for strength training. Additionally, the facility includes a swimming pool with designated open hours for lap swimming and recreational use. Please check the facility schedules, located at the exterior of the pool area and weight room, for specific hours of operation and guidelines.
Benedetti Wehrli Stadium: Students are welcome to use the outdoor track and stadium stairs during facility operating hours. These spaces provide excellent opportunities for outdoor physical fitness, including walking, running, and stair workouts. Please ensure you follow all campus guidelines for using these areas.
Private Shower and Changing Rooms: For commuter students who need to transition between classes and other activities, two private shower and changing rooms are available. One is located in the Health Science & Engineering Building (160 E. Chicago Ave), Room 205 on the 200 level, and the other is in the Science Center (131 S. Loomis St), Lower Level, Room 003. These spaces offer privacy and convenience for students who need to freshen up between functions.
