Leadership Student Organizations and Activities

  • Athletic Mentorship Program is for upperclass student athletes to provide mentoring for first-year student athletes in time management, social skills, organization, networking and more.
  • Cardinal First Ambassadors is for upperclass first-gen student leaders who serve as role models and mentors for the Cardinal First program initiatives that support and celebrate first-generation college students.
  • Career Peer Advisors are student workers and leaders in the Center for Career & Professional Development’s Drop In Center.
  • NCC LEAD is a program for first year students to engage with upperclass mentors, learn more about their strengths as a leader and maximize their time as a Cardinal.
  • DPT Student Government supports physical therapy graduate students on their journey to becoming excellent clinicians, educators, and leaders dedicated to serving society as movement experts. This organization is for graduate students only.
  • Multicultural Peer Educators are students who work to create a campus environment that nurtures cultural humility.
  • Resident Assistants (RA) create a positive residential environment, planning and implementing programs for residents, assisting in the oversight of the residence hall, upholding College policies.
  • Residence Hall Association is an organization focused on resident students through in-hall and campus-wide programming.
  • Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) serves as the student-athlete voice while providing opportunities to enhance the student-athlete experience.
  • Student Governing Association (SGA) members are elected by the student body and serve on College committees, attend Board of Trustee meetings and make recommendations to the administration.
  • Student Organization Executive Board provides leadership, direction, and support to organizations by overseeing operations, coordinating events, and fostering member engagement to achieve the group’s mission.
  • Transition Team Leaders assist with welcoming new students to NCC during Summer Orientations, Welcome Week and as First-Year Mentors in FYE courses.
