North Central is special because it supports students. For example, they made it possible for me to complete my college education without being in debt. I did not want to take out student loans, so I solely relied on working and receiving awards from the College to pay for my education.
What does your college degree mean to you?
My college degree means that my parents’ sacrifices were worth it.
What do you love about teaching?
I chose teaching because it gives me the power to make a difference in the lives of students who will walk through my classroom. As an immigrant who did not know any English, I found it was the teachers who made me feel like I belonged. I want to do that for others.
