Dr. Sawyer arrived at North Central College in the fall of 1978 fresh from the Ph.D. program at Bowling Green State University. In addition to teaching a range of classes, doing research, and supervising student independent study research, he has served in several administrative roles including department chair, division chair, and the Director of the Office of Academic Opportunities.
