Nominations for the North Central College 2014 Dissinger awards are due Wednesday, April 30. The Dissinger Awards provide an annual occasion to honor and reward faculty and staff who distinguish themselves and the College by their excellence in teaching, scholarship, service and/or their performance of a job “above and beyond the call of duty.”
All North Central students, faculty, administrative managers and support staff may nominate people for all award categories, with the exception of the Faculty Scholarship Award and the inaugural Senior Faculty Service Award. Individuals may nominate more than one faculty or administrative member for each award.
Visit cardinalnet.northcentralcollege.edu/Dissinger to make your nominations online.
The deadline is 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 30. Award winners will be announced on Friday, May 16, at the Annual Service Awards Presentation.
New this year is the Clarence F. Dissinger Memorial Award for Distinguished Service by Senior Faculty. The award is designed to recognize extraordinary, ongoing service that benefits the College community beyond the requirements of an honoree’s formal role. Faculty, administrators and support staff may submit nominations for eligible senior faculty.
Nominations are reviewed and decisions are made by anonymous committees of faculty, administrators and students chaired by College vice presidents.
