The campus community is invited to attend the sixth annual Bryan House Silent Auction from 7 to 9:15 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at Community Christian Church, 1635 Emerson Lane in Naperville (corner of Ogden Avenue and Rickert Drive).

All proceeds from the silent auction will benefit Bryan House, a transitional housing program for refugee families from around the world. Shoppers can choose from hundreds of items, starting as low as $4; click here to learn more and view a sample list of items.

Aurora’s Bryan House is named for North Central College student Bryan Guzman ’08, who died in a tragic accident in December 2006. Bryan’s father is Professor of English Richard Guzman.

The Guzman family created a fund to establish Bryan House, one of several apartment homes in Emmanuel House CDC, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping working-class poor save and work their way out of poverty in a responsible and dignified manner. Emmanuel House is uncompromising in its commitment to work with refugees, immigrants and everyday working-class poor, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion or creed.
