Tim Shoemaker, a senior account manager at Millward Brown, volunteered his time with a team of North Central students who prepared for an American Marketing Association (AMA) competition and finished in the top 25. Shoemaker offered advice on topics ranging from gathering and analyzing market research data to using graphic design and communication skills in presentations. Students visited Millward Brown’s office in Lisle, IL, to work on their project, tour the facility and learn about the latest trends and technology used in market research. The International Collegiate Case Competition sponsored by The Collegiate Chapters Council of the AMA is a yearlong event that brings top marketing students together to work on a marketing challenge submitted by Nintendo, this year’s sponsoring organization.
