Mac (James MacArthur) Willaert ’13, a music major and pianist at North Central College, is one of the finalists to make it to the second round of “Queen Extravaganza,” a nationwide talent search for America’s top young musicians. Legendary rocker Roger Taylor of Queen is assembling a band of rising musicians in honor of Queen’s 40th anniversary tour in 2012.
On Monday, Nov. 14, online voting opens and closes Nov. 28. The top highest publicly voted videos will go through to the live final. At this stage, show producer Roger Taylor also has the ability to activate a “wild card” option.
Visit http://www.queenextravaganza.com/ to view Willaert’s audition—select Round 2 and the Public Vote and use his name in the search box or go to page 4 of the auditions—and vote once for Willaert. He plays keyboard and is from St. Charles, Ill.
The Queen Extravaganza is a live touring show celebrating and paying tribute to the glorious music and live experience of Queen.
