DVD boxed set for sale of NCTV-produced documentary about North Central College

A DVD boxed set is on sale of the documentary series about the 150-year history of North Central College.

The five-part documentary series “A Promising Start” commemorates the College’s Sesquicentennial. The documentary series production was led by Naperville Community Television’s Emmy Award-winning Executive Director Elizabeth Braham Spencer, who also is adjunct professor of broadcast communication at the College.

The documentary brings the story of the College’s 150-year history to life through reenactments, video, historical photos, letters and interviews with historical experts such as Ann Durkin Keating, Dr. C. Frederick Toenniges Professor of History at North Central and co-author of the book, “North Central College: 150 Years. A Promising Start.”

The boxed set is available for sale at the North Central College Bookstore, 100 E. Jefferson Ave. Individual DVDs of each segment are available for $9.95 each; call the Bookstore at 630-637-5635 to learn more.
