The DuPage Symphony Orchestra (DSO) will acknowledge its fine arts partnership with North Central College during a gala fundraiser this weekend.
An evening of festivities celebrating 25 years of the DSO under the direction of Maestra Barbara Schubert will begin at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at the Hyatt Hotel, Lisle. Musicians, DSO board members, patrons and community leaders will celebrate the changes and growth within the DSO during Schubert’s first 25 years as conductor and music director.
The DSO performs in Wentz Concert Hall as part of the College’s Fine and Performing Arts Season. Guests are scheduled to include North Central College President Harold Wilde, Fine Arts Director Brian Lynch and Senior Program Director of Conference Services Ken Hannah.
The evening’s festivities include live jazz music, dinner, silent and live auctions, a DSO retrospective and more. Tickets are $100 per person; advance reservations are required and may be made at dupagesymphony.org/gala.aspx or by calling 630-778-1003.
