North Central College will honor the ministry of the Rev. Dr. Lynn Pries ’67, campus chaplain, in a special event March 30.
After 20 years of spiritual leadership at North Central, Pries will retire in June 2014. A special service is planned at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 30, in Wentz Concert Hall. A reception will follow. Please RSVP by calling 630-637-5200 or emailing email@example.com.
The worship service will celebrate Pries’ role in bridging North Central College and the United Methodist Church (UMC) and nurturing the spiritual life of several generations of students, alumni, faculty and staff during his time on campus.
Bishop Sally Dyck of the UMC Northern Illinois Conference will give a message and the College’s Voices of Praise gospel choir will sing. The service also will recognize the College’s connection with Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and the ongoing effort to build support for leadership programs and scholarships through the Albright-Wesley Society.
