North Central College’s Community Education 2014 winter/spring program offers a variety of courses to enhance careers and interests for adults and children.

The lineup of inexpensive, noncredit courses is designed for professionals seeking to advance their careers, families with children who want to learn a foreign language, and hobbyists interested in home décor and photography, and much more.

“We're excited to provide youth and adult community members of all ages with a wide range of course offerings, across a variety of subjects,” said Deanna Taylor, the College’s program director of Community Education.

North Central College is offering the opportunity to learn about the College’s extensive archives through a course in the Community Education program.

North Central College is offering the opportunity to learn about the College’s extensive archives. A course about the College’s archives is among the offerings this fall through North Central’s Community Education program.

“With the college celebrating its Sesquicentennial this fall, our on-campus archivist will be running a course on the history of the College and showing many of the artifacts that have been maintained throughout the years,” said Deanna Taylor, the College’s community education program director.

The College offers courses for adults in Professional and Business Development, computers, foreign languages, fine arts and general interest. Instruction for children in music, dance, theater and visual arts is offered through a partnership with the Naperville-based School of Performing Arts, and an eight-week program for academically gifted children ages 4 to 14 is offered through The Center for Talent Development at Northwestern University.
