Nancy Shannon Bandusky ’93

Nancy Shannon Bandusky has published the final novel titled “Fight The Good Fight” in her “Challenge Trilogy.” The trilogy tells the story of persecution in the United States once Christianity is outlawed. The other novels in the trilogy include “Take a Stand” and “Run the Race.”

Mallory Bahr is assistant coach of the women’s lacrosse team of Huntingdon College in Montgomery, AL.

Alyssa Allgood recorded her first professional extended play collection through Transient Sound Recording Studio. The record is a mini album featuring her own compositions and arrangements.

Dawn Pleas-Baily ’90

Dawn Pleas-Baily was elected vice chairperson for the 2014-2015 Alumni Advisory Board of the Executive Doctorate Higher Education Management at the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education and will serve as chair through the 2015-2016 academic year. Meggie Zayas ’13

Meggie Zayas organized the Because One Is Too Many event at Benedictine University in Lisle, IL, to raise awareness of domestic abuse and sexual assault. After the event, participants were invited to visit the WAR Chest Boutique in Naperville, which sells jewelry and gifts made by trafficked and at-risk women.

 

Will Allan '09

Will Allan was cast as Benjamin in the Steppenwolf Theatre Company interpretation of George Orwell’s “Animal Farm.” Theatre critic Chris Jones of the Chicago Tribune noted that Allan’s performance as the donkey was “superbly played” and the production received four stars. The play was staged from October 15 through November 16.

Kristin Paloncy earned her certificate of leadership in the National Athletic Trainers Association’s StarTRACKS program, a rigorous leadership development curriculum.

Yonatan Mascote won the second annual Edward Hospital Naperville Marathon with a time of 2:33:51. It was the second straight Naperville victory for Mascote, who works at the Naperville Running Company.

Michael Swengel '08

Michael Swengel was featured on the cover and interviewed for an article for Choral Director, a monthly choral director’s magazine. Swengel is choral director at Mt. Zion High School and led his students to a national championship in the FAME show choir competition at Arie Crown Theater in Chicago.
