George Blanchet, North Central College percussionist and lecturer in music, plays percussion in the musical “Annie” at Paramount Theater through December.

George Blanchet, North Central College percussionist and lecturer in music, plays percussion in the family musical “Annie,” which runs Nov. 21-Dec. 30 at Paramount Theater in Aurora. Blanchet has performed for other musical productions at the Paramount, as well as the Chicago Sinfonietta and Metropolis Symphony Orchestra.

Blanchet has been teaching percussion at North Central since 1998 and directs the Percussion Ensemble.

Some 115 community actors star in “Annie,” North Central College’s Summer Musical Theatre, in six performances July 15-17 and July 22-24.

North Central College’s Summer Musical Theatre presents the delightful family musical “Annie” July 15-17 and July 22-24, featuring some 115 actors from the community.

Six performances will be staged at 7:30 p.m. July 15, 16, 22 and 23 with two Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. July 17 and 24 in Pfeiffer Hall, 310 E. Benton Ave., Naperville.
