Make-Up Exams or Early Finals
If a student needs to take a make-up exam or early final:
Given the volume of test accommodations needed, particularly during the three days of final exams, and because of the space limitations in the Center for Student Success, the ability of a staff member to proctor make-up or early final exams is minimal. Faculty should make every effort to arrange for students to take make-up or early exams at a mutually convenient time and location (such as the professor's office, joining another class in a different final exam timeslot, an empty classroom, an available conference room). When such an arrangement is not possible, the professor can contact the Center for Student Success to give the exam, if space is available. As with accommodated tests, the student needs to confirm the appointment with the Center for Student Success. Professors can drop off the exam or email it to firstname.lastname@example.org but must then pick up the exam after the student has completed it.
To sign up for a test, the student will need to follow the steps below:
- The student will need to pick up the Test Scheduling Form from the Center for Student Success
- A form needs to be filled out completely for each test. The form has a student section and a professor section. Please make sure the professor signs the form.
- The form needs to be returned to the Center for Student Success no later than one working day before the exam.
- The student will also need to remind the professor to deliver the exam to the Center for Student Success. Please remind them no later than one working day before the exam date. The professor can send the test via email to email@example.com.
If any change in exam arrangements is necessary, please notify the Center for Student Success as soon as possible by contacting 630-637-5266.
