Your first advising appointment will be with the transfer advisor in the Registrar's Office. This advisor will help you
- understand basic North Central policies
- schedule your first classes
- learn about resources of particular interest to you
- navigate the transfer process.
After your initial advising appointment, you will then be assigned to a faculty advisor in your major or a related area. Once you’re assigned to a faculty advisor, the transfer advisor will send your new faculty advisor all your records, including information from your first appointment and any other contacts. If, at any point, you want to change advisors, just ask another faculty member to be your new advisor or contact the Director of Advising for advisor suggestions.
