North Central College invites applications for a full-time tenure track position in Social Psychology to begin September 1, 2014. A Ph.D. is required and appointment at the assistant professor level is anticipated, although higher ranks may be considered for suitably qualified applicants. Applicants should exhibit a potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching and mentoring, as well as a commitment to scholarship that includes collaborative research with undergraduates. We seek candidates who can teach our core courses (Introductory Psychology, Statistics, and Research Methods) and courses in their area of specialization. All specialty areas in Social Psychology will be considered, especially those with a cultural focus. Applicants will have opportunities to contribute to an interdisciplinary general education program.
