Clinical Education CoordinatorNorth Central College seeks applications for a full-time, non-tenure track appointment in the Athletic Training Education Program to begin Fall 2013. This position would serve as a Clinical Coordinator for Athletic Training and Exercise Science. Appointment at the rank of Instructor is anticipated, but higher rank may be considered for suitably qualified candidates. Applicants are required to hold a Master’s degree in athletic training (doctoral degree preferred), a health-related field, or education; BOC certification for a minimum of 3 years; and be eligible for licensure in Illinois.
The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the clinical education component of the Athletic Training Education Program and Exercise Science major. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, educating preceptors, coordination and assessment of clinical education placement and affiliated sites, academic advising, and didactic instruction. Applicants should have teaching experience and show potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching. Candidates should also have athletic training experience in the high school, college, clinic or related setting beyond that of a graduate assistant and have served as a clinical instructor.
