To provide students with opportunities to explore the field of Human Resources outside of classroom lectures. Give students the exposure of personal testimonies from HR professionals in various industries as well as group visits to local SHRM chapter monthly events, allowing students to gain a better understanding of how HR works in different industries as well as meet and network with HR professionals from local areas. Provide opportunities for students to develop their leadership skills by being active in fundraising, holding office positions, and hosting events. Exposure to SHRM, the Society of Human Resource Management, which allows students to become involved with the professional Human Resources organization prior to graduation, giving them a head start in their career path with access to the many opportunities that SHRM offers. Over all students will become more well rounded with in the field of HR and are better prepared as young adults after graduation.
