Of all the things Jordan loves about North Central College, nothing tops the feeling he gets after seeking the counsel of his professors.
“There are many days when I’ll go into their offices confused and in need of direction,” he says. “When I leave, it’s with a clear mind, ready to attack my next project. This is probably my favorite thing about North Central—my professors are always willing to aid me in my classes, job searches, grad school and career aspirations.”
Jordan is a member of the North Central cross country and track and field teams. Even with his busy training schedule, he found time to complete a summer internship that focused on ecological restoration. He also served on a search committee when the College needed to add a new professor, which gave him a unique look inside the interviewing and hiring processes.
Jordan plans to pursue a doctoral degree in ecology so he can teach at the college level.
“I have been set up perfectly to be successful in my future career,” he says. “I wouldn’t trade my education from North Central College for anything.”
