Cody Follis is a political science major and speech communication minor who wants to pursue law school—with the ultimate goal of holding political office. A transfer student from Lincoln College, Follis earned a scholarship to study pre-law at North Central.
To achieve his goal of entering politics, Cody has competed on the College’s renowned Forensics team. He earned the title of National Semi-Finalist (top 12 in the nation) in an event called After Dinner Speaking. “I enjoy my time on the team immensely—through participation and competition I have made friends who I hope to keep the rest of my life,” he says. “It has helped me further hone my speaking skills for my future career and the coaches are extremely approachable. The Forensics program has the right mixture of hard work and fun.”
Cody has also gotten involved in the College’s Student Governing Association and conducted research on the lack of playgrounds for children across the United States, which he presented at the College’s Rall Symposium.
