North Central College and Wentz Concert Hall and Fine Arts Center received a 2009 Design Award from the Precast/ Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI), headquartered in Chicago. The award is an Honorable Mention for Best Public/Institutional Building. The College was featured in PCI’s fall magazine
Ascent, which stated, “This imaginative new use of precast concrete together with its distinctive design has propelled the hall to be hailed as a great success by community members and critics alike.” See page 15:
