The women’s lacrosse and soccer teams invite the campus community to wear gray all day Wednesday, May 25, in honor of Rosie Colucci Day and Brain Tumor Awareness Month, which is May.
As many know, the women’s lacrosse and soccer teams have come to know Rosie Colucci, a 6-year-old little girl who’s been coping with treatments for brain cancer and a serious disorder called neurofibromatosis. Team members adopted Rosie more than two years ago through an organization that pairs children who have cancer with sports teams. Rosie has attended games and visited the campus multiple times, and student-athletes have enjoyed hanging out with her, celebrating special occasions and holding a fundraiser.
