Ted Slowik, director of public relations and media relations, received a 2009 Illinois Press Association Excellence in News award for his editorial “Principal must go” published in the Naperville Sun. Slowik was managing editor of the Naperville Sun when he wrote his award-winning piece. His award was among some 104 awards given to the Chicago Sun-Times News Group.
