Students In Free Enterprise head to National Competition May 11-13 in Minneapolis. Seven students will give an oral presentation with streaming video as backdrop. The speakers will be Joe Antonacci ’11, Sunny Gill ’10, Kelli Lawrence ’10, Darette Ly ’13, Amanda Marek ’13, Priscilla Martinez ’10 and Peter Zafiropoulous ’11. Others traveling to Nationals include Sandy Pham ’10 (working on video production), Matt Baaske ’10, Jeff Dawson ’10, Lauren Mitchell ’10, Meghan Steinbeiss ’13, Cathy Utterback ’11 and Greg Voegtle ’12 .
The team’s presentation will be similar to Regionals, but the judging will be different. Students must convince judges, who are middle managers and upper-level corporate executives, that their project had the most impact improving people’s lives. To move on to the next day of competition, the team must win its room or league contest.
