Presenting academic work at an international convention in St. Louis is how one student will spend her spring break. Sarah Kurpiel ’10, majoring in English literature and French, will present her paper titled “Where’s Antonio Then?: Locating the Inclusions and Exclusions of Antonio in Two Film Versions of Twelfth Night” at the Sigma Tau Delta 2010 International Convention in St. Louis March 17-20. She is one of four presenters in a session titled “Film and Media Study” on March 20.
Sigma Tau Delta is the international English honor society and Kurpiel was inducted into North Central’s chapter in 2008. She originally prepared her paper for a 400-level course taught by Sara Eaton, professor of English, who also encouraged her to submit it for presentation at a conference.
