A Student Leadership Conference—open to all students and especially student leaders at any level—will take place on campus Friday evening and Saturday during the day, April 13 and 14, with guest speakers and breakout sessions.
“It’s an opportunity for all students to develop their leadership skills,” says Jeremy Gudauskas, assistant dean of students and co-coordinator of the conference. “There will be special how-to and skills training sessions for both emerging and advanced leaders, as well as inspiring talks from alumni and community guests.”
Titled “Lead for a Change: Inspiring Leadership for the Common Good,” the conference is focused on social change and how leaders can create change in their sphere of influence and truly make a difference both during college and into the future.
Registration is now open to all students, but space is limited. Click here to register online.
The opening session and panel discussion start at 6 p.m. Friday, April 13, in the theatre at Meiley-Swallow Hall, followed by a concert featuring the Giving Tree Band at The Union. Breakfast will be served on Saturday, April 14, at 8 a.m. with workshops and breakout sessions by guest presenters from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at various campus locations.
